My name is Jon and I live in Los Angeles. I've visited Japan a lot so that's what this blog is about...visiting Japan, Japanese history and samurai movies.
Daibutsu, Kamakura
Daibutsu in Kamakura, June 2010. There were thousands of school kids visiting that day. It was still great fun.

Flower Shrine
This an entrance to a small Shinto Shrine in Otawara, Tochigi-ken. I took this photo on my last trip there.
Very springy! Nothing like that here yet :( PS. I'm doing OK, slowly getting back to normal (might blog about it, might not, heh). I don't know why your comments go to the blogger commenting system, instead of the disqus one. I didn't even know it was possible to leave comments like that. Unfortunately, if you don't use the disqus widget, then your comments will not show. :(
That is a nice row of flowers leading up to the shrine. Looks similar to a local shrine in our area.

That's different for a Jinja.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful the flowers are. The Shrine is like brighting.
ReplyDeleteThank you coco. I love how they brighten up the shrine.
DeleteOh! Nice! I like the contrast between the dull (or should I say somber?) wood and the bright flowers. ^^
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the comments.

Hello Anna.
DeleteI'm glad you are doing better Anna. The comments issue baffles me.
