My name is Jon and I live in Los Angeles. I've visited Japan a lot so that's what this blog is about...visiting Japan, Japanese history and samurai movies.
Daibutsu, Kamakura
Daibutsu in Kamakura, June 2010. There were thousands of school kids visiting that day. It was still great fun.

Blooming Blossoms
Spring has sprung in Los Angeles. These photos are from two weeks ago. I think the top two photos are plum blossoms but I am not certain. The bottom one is from in front of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles.
The sparseness of the blossoms in the top photo makes me think that's a plum tree, but the timing confuses me: bit too late for plum, bit too early for cherry. Though I guess it's warmer in LA and your cherry blossoms usually start before ours? Ah, never mind. They're beautiful, whatever they are! :)

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Do you have a lot of cherry blossoms around where you live in LA?
ReplyDeleteJapan Australia
Rurousha, it has been a warm and dry winter in LA. Normally it is our rainy season.
ReplyDeleteJapan Australia, not too many cherry blossoms, but we do have a lot of pretty flowering trees. I will try and take more photos of them.
Nice shot. I like such flowers and I'm glad that you like them. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you coco. I will try and take more pix like these.
