  3. The image in my mind of Nobunaga's Azuchi castle absolutely dazzled me when I read Eiji Yoshikawa's book Taiko. And when I found out that there still remained even ruins of this great castle, I went and saw it for myself.

  4. You're lucky. I have never visited the ruins but I would love to someday.

  6. From what I heard from the streets while in Japan, Katen no shiro is a must see. I was just bummed out that time was not on my side. I have the novel and should start to read it once the Okehazama books are read.

  7. Then I REALLY hope to be able to see it someday.

  8. That looks awesome. Thanks for the trailers. I hadn't heard of it. It's too bad it will be another two years till it hits the states.

There are some familiar faces in the cast.

I will have to read the book. I'm also going to have to investigate 'the Okehazama' novels too.

Also, Kyushudan's website rocks! I'll have to spend a few hours there tonight. Very well done.

Just saw it - of all places on a United flight from Frankfurt to San Francisco. Fantastic movie, though I suspect it's been shortened down and censored for airline use.

Katen no shiro was given the English title Castle Under Fiery Skies.

    Toshiyuki Nishida is fantastic.
