My name is Jon and I live in Los Angeles. I've visited Japan a lot so that's what this blog is about...visiting Japan, Japanese history and samurai movies.
Daibutsu, Kamakura
Daibutsu in Kamakura, June 2010. There were thousands of school kids visiting that day. It was still great fun.
Very interesting blog, and a very interesting angle, indeed. Whenever I talk to someone who's been to Japan, they are overenthusiastic about the country, people and culture. A must visit I would say!
There must have been a lot of wishes granted with all those Daruma dolls eyes colored in. Happy New Years to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteIt was fifteen years ago in January that I first stepped onto Japanese land. Changed my life forever.
Happy New Year to all!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tony. Yes, I see a lot of them have both eyes colored in. I just liked the picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks Les.
