Quake toppled cemetery in Otawara, Tochigi-ken, Japan.

    2. I am a little doubtful. Japanese seem to fix things very quickly.

      I do say, though. It's not so ugly the way it is. It has a sad beauty about it. Especially the dropping flower on the right side. :(

  2. It does have sad beauty. Some cemeteries don't get much attention so some of these family plots may not get fixed for a long time. This photo was about 5 months after the great quake.

  3. It may be that in order to conduct the repairs, there has to be the presence of a Buddhist Priest and or a Shinto Priest to oversee this. There could be bad karma associated with the burial plot if it isn't handled in the proper manner.
