My name is Jon and I live in Los Angeles. I've visited Japan a lot so that's what this blog is about...visiting Japan, Japanese history and samurai movies.
Daibutsu, Kamakura
Daibutsu in Kamakura, June 2010. There were thousands of school kids visiting that day. It was still great fun.

Miniature Daibutsu in HDR
This is a photo of a miniature Daibutsu using the HDR feature of my Android phone. This Daibutsu statue is only 4cm tall. I like how the HDR photo appears to give Daibutsu a glowing halo.
Actually my phone did not come with HDR. I downloaded a 3rd party camera app that has it. But I think that's more to do with my relatively inexpensive Motorola phone. But I still don't know what I'm doing when taking pictures. :)
The little Daibutsu I picked up in Kamakura at the souvenir stand next to the big Daibutsu.
Another feature Android is stealing from the iPhone, eh? ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Where did you buy that? I'd love to get one for my home.

Hey Jon,
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't commented in a while.
I like the photo, and what a cool little Daibutsu to have around!
Matt
Thanks. Sorry I haven't posted much either. Been busy.
